People with disabilities are considered to be one of the most vulnerable groups within the education system, labor market, and society in general. The wide range of their disabilities makes it difficult for the education system to choose an adequate strategy in adjusting educational programmes for them to master the learning content and achieve learning outcomes tailored to their abilities. Nowadays, there are quite a number of people with special educational needs and disabilities, but still a lack of strategies to support and address their needs for them to be able to participate in social, economic, and political life.Through the R(AE)L Inclusion project, adult educators will be further included while working in various adult education organizations or institutions so that a wider number of organizations have competent and prepared teaching staff for educating adults facing difficulties in mastering the learning content
Following set priorities at local, national, and European levels, the R(AE)L Inclusion project will aim to promote the following objectives:
In-Service Training Programme for Adult Educators comprising 30 hours of face-to face learning and 20 hours of online learning. Training will include introducing educators to the teaching methods and strategies they could apply in their lessons with the target group.
A Virtual Mirror Toolkit serving as a set of tasks and an e-Diary for adult educators to complete and reflect on their work and performance after the completion of the training programme.
Open-Source Online Platform for e-learning containing 50 hours of the online training program and a forum for networking.
